John DeLawyer is a northern Wisconsin native who
soloed at age 16 and earned his private pilots license
at 17. In 1995 John graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical
Science including Commercial MEL, SEL, Instrument and
CFII ratings.
John’s love of selling started by spending time with his father who sold
farm equipment during the 1980’s. After graduation John moved to Austin,
TX to represent Diamond Aircraft as Regional Sales Manager for the DA20 Katana
in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. In 1997 John came to work for Cutter
Aviation in San Antonio selling Mooney Aircraft and the Aviat Husky. In 2000
John was promoted to the New Piper product line at Cutter Aviation and currently
represents Cutter and New Piper in the South Texas region. John enjoys the diverse
New Piper product line because it allows pilots to transition through the product
line from trainers to turbo-prop aircraft.
